What is OCR?

To benefit from this feature, you must have the OCR option on your Pristy instance.

OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is an option that automatically transforms your scanned documents (images, PDF) into files where the text is selectable.

Thanks to this, you can select and copy/paste the content of your documents.

Additionally, the textual content is indexed, allowing you to find a document by simply searching for a word it contains.

How does it work?

The complete processing takes about a minute after importing a document. If you open the document immediately, the transformation may not be finished yet. Simply refresh the page after a minute.

You will know the process is complete when the document’s version number changes to 1.1.

You can import many files simultaneously; they will all be processed one after the other. This process is fast and does not slow down your use of Pristy.
