Share a file

How to share a file with an external collaborator?

Key points

You can share your documents via a link. The content is only accessible to people who have the link. The link can have an expiration date. The document sharing can be revoked at any time.

  • When you are in an Espace or a folder, locate the document you want to share,
  • click on the Publish / Get link icon at the end of the line,
  • the “Share link” pop-up opens,
  • click on “Create a share link”,
  • click on “Copy the share link”,
  • the link is in your clipboard, you can paste it into a message.

If a document has already been shared, you can find its link:

  • Click on the Publish icon at the end of the line,
  • the “Share link” pop-up opens,
  • click on “Copy the share link”,
  • the link is in your clipboard, you can paste it into a message.

If a document has already been shared, you can delete its link:

  • click on the Publish icon at the end of the line,
  • the “Share link” pop-up opens,
  • click on the red Trash icon.

Your link is deleted. The people you shared it with will no longer have access to the content.

You can recreate one, and you will then have to share the new link.

Add an expiration date

After creating a link, you can add an expiration date to it:

  • click on the Expiration date checkbox,
  • a calendar opens,
  • choose the end date for sharing.

The day after this date, the link will be automatically deleted. Those to whom you have sent it will no longer have access to the content.
